Ironbell Blooms
Black Forest Ruby
Black Forest Ruby
This was a Big Box store purchase years ago, but is actually one of my favorites. Its slightly more of a "garden dahlia" as it is less than 36", but I originally put it in a giant pot next to my patio, and there it goes every year. (With extras now grown in the field) It blooms early, profusely, and has lovely dark somewhat ferny foliage. With the hard earned early blooming, note that it does fizzle out a bit earlier in the fall.
