Ironbell Blooms
20th Ave Gwen
20th Ave Gwen
On a positive note, I got to say "Well hello their 20th Ave Gwen" and snap a pic when Gwen started to bloom...on a not so positive note, the 20th Ave's were planted last, so were on the outer edge of the field, which then became a deer path. They don't usually eat dahlias down to the ground but sure do love their flower buds. I tried covering them, but any day I didn't, alas the buds disappeared again. So a confirmation photo yes, enough blooms for a professional head shot...no. I'll get some great ones next year (and have a better deer deterrent plan out there)
20th Ave varieties are known to be enjoyed by growers, so if you want to own this yellow lemon, with a hint of purple, here it is.
